Anne's Campaigns

In this section you will be able to find out what issues Anne has campaigned on in the past and what campaigns she is currently engaged with, both at Westminster and in Aberdeen.

                                 Select Committee

Anne is a member of the Work and Pensions Select Committee which examines the expenditure, administration and policy of the Department for Work and Pensions and its agencies: Jobcentre Plus, The Pension, Disability and Carers Service and the Child Support Agency.

Anne chamberThe Select Committee works by holding inquiries and gathering evidence from a wide range of groups and individuals with relevant interests and then making reports to the House of Commons. These reports contain the recommendations of the Select Committee, and while the Government does not have to agree to all the recommendations, it must respond to them within a period of two months.
